The teaser made me cry. I think this is a first.

I was upset to be sure. That was the most graphic teaser I've seen.

Ack.

Did I miss something? I don't understand why Major Case is investigating this.

I don't understand it either, but the premise is that MCS investigates cases given to them by the Mayor, and I know this case before it was "ripped" from the headlines was and is still an incredibly high profile case.

This actually happened near me. I hope they don't fuck up the story.

There's been a lot of heat from the family of the victims from the shooting in August. They're upset they haven't even had time to grieve before "reliving" it so to speak through Law and Order.

I don't even remember hearing about this in August. Is that bad?

It was a Newark shooting. 4 kids in a schoolyard.

I don't blame them. While I don't think this show would in any way lessen what happened, I am a bit wary of how quickly it was made into an episode.

You're never really done grieving for something like that, though. You just learn to grieve better.

Agreed. It seems like they try to use current events, but this is just TOO current.

they came out with the Anna Nicole-inspired ep pretty quickly too.

That one annoyed the piss out of me. I refused to watch it. I am disgusted my sham that is celebrity. I thought the writers could do better, way better.

Damn... what's interesting to me is the background to this "racial" thing.

Brownsville used to be very White and then turned Puerto Rican and Black.

It reminds me of the arcade from S1, where Goren slams that kid into the machine after he took a swing at Eames. Classic.

It's the same one. It's on Mott Street in Chinatown.

Heh, cool. Thanks for letting me know. Always nice to talk to someone who actually knows NYC. Also I'm absolutely pleased with myself that I recognized it, lol. But not too pleased. :)

I've gotta say.. I loved this episode. It was prolific in a way that wasn't offensive, but the thought processes of a very disturbed man. He seemed like he had a strange personality disorder that made him respond against insults.

It's so sad. :(

Is this supposed to be the last episode with Falacci?

I'm not really sure. I remember a recent interview that said she would like to stay around. With the writers strike and the fact that good ol' Wheeler hasn't had her baby yet I don't think she'll be back soon.

(I don't think she's had her baby yet anyway)

As far as I know anyway. ..

Would anyone be kind enough to link me to the story that inspired this episode?

Anyway, "Senseless" was fantastic--one of the best out of the entire seasons I think, and definitely one of Noth's better works. It was just so haunting and bloodcurdling.

Definitely agreeing that this is one of the best episodes this season. :)
